Sorta Grumpy

Not excited about being put down in this spot, which is too bad because it was SO pretty and such pretty light! Then some geese flew overhead, and that was a momentary distraction before she got back to the business of making it known she was not thrilled! (Notice the bow in her hand that she had already ripped out in a fit of rage, lol)

Angel

I made these angle wings. It was *not* easy to get her to wear this stuff! This is just one shot while I took my remote trigger to 'show' her how I use it, and then it was over. Yesterday's attempt was a complete flop. I will wait a while before I try this again but hope to get something better in these wings at some point! :)

Trying out some white paneling Mark got me on Mother's Day. It was to be a floor but I like it as a backdrop, too. This is the natural light in our entryway, which is crammed and makes funny catchlights from 2 windows, but I kind of like the light in there (North facing windows). Our neat step ladder from Dawn again :)

Time in a bottle

I don't often wear cologne, but I save these old bottles, and every once in a while, I open one and smell the scent, and I love how it takes me back to a certain time in my life. I don't have Palmer's Coconut butter, which is what I used when I was pregnant with Jacob (I should buy some!) but this Mama Bee stuff brings me back TOTALLYY to when I was pregnant with Joely.

Budding Artist

Joely loves to draw. Even more, she loves to make me draw. Her favorite requests are a 'giant' and a 'mermaid'. :)

French Braids / Christmas Dress

Joely's too-big Christmas dress we found at Goodwill for $1.99! I just threw it on her to try out this new backdrop. I have 2 other pieces of this muslin to sell!



Today Joely sported her first ever French braids. They weren't very skillfully done - I need some serious practice/lessons on braiding!! Plus her hair is so fine still that it makes it extra hard.
