Gumballs

Actually peanut M&M's. I got this at St. Vinnie's and filled it up, and now I'm thinking maybe I should have passed. And all those M&Ms are going to do nothing good for me!!

Same Dress, Different Day

Joely wore this dress again today (I didn't change her bandage until bath time and nothing can go on/off with that thing on her hand). I used a home-made action that I'm working on for this ... I'm not sure if it works or not.
Here she is trying out her fake bath tub, too. (You can see her big blister on her hand.)

Recital

Jacob had a piano recital today. He did great :) ISO 8000.
After I was moving paper around and tried to take some pictures but my little model wasn't in the mood. Here she is running away.

Sick

Joely was concerned to see Jacob sleeping on the chair when she woke up from her nap. All three of us have a cold, especially Jacob and I. Joely seems to be handling it the best. (Will Mark escape another virus? He hopes so!)

(What kind of mother am I, taking pictures of my poor sick and injured children!? It's sad... if it weren't for this blog, I probably wouldn't be. Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing... I did give him chicken soup when he woke up!)

Boo-Boo

Joely's burn is healing well. She leaves her bandage on and doesn't use her arm. It doesn't hurt her anymore. She'll have to wear the bandage for about a week or so.

New Prop

I love this vintage scale! I got it for a great price :)

(Just for the record, when I use this I will have the mom hold the sides of the scale and then only let go for a few seconds or do a composite (photoshop her hands out). I would never put a baby on this and be more than an inch away.)

New bathtub and bad burn :(

Yesterday Joely got a bad burn on our stove. Her entire palm is blistered :( She's being such a good patient, though, and leaving her bandage on and not using her hand at all. Hopefully it will heal quickly. Yesterday we also got this new tub in the mail. It's super lightweight foam, so it's kind of tippy - not sure how tippy until I can get her into it, and so far she's not interested. Hopefully once she's feeling better and I maybe put a few candies in there, she'll be willing to sit in it for at least 10 seconds so I can get one photo. The tub has lots of imperfections, but I kind of like it that way ... so long as it's not TOO tippy, which I think it will be :( I wonder what the return policy is....

Doll High Chair

I used a texture on the background and also a vintagey type action that I made - still a work in progress.

Black on Black

I was trying for the black on black thing - trying to keep the clothing from blending into the background. I'm not sure how I did... my model was VERY uncooperative! LOL! This was the only shot his tongue wasn't out because he was 'choking to death' in the turtleneck.

Vintagey Pigtails

Joely wanted pigtails today. They didn't last very long. As usual, I kept trying to lure her into my lair. The bike worked until she rode away on it :)

Teddy Bear Kisses

First we did the stew. LOL :) She stayed in the pot long enough for 3 quick snaps and then she was out, banging on the pot with the spoon. I had a chef's hat, which would have been cute - but she said no way. Then after her bath, I decided to do a quickie and was amazed that she sat there long enough for me to get to my camera and take this shot :)

I decided to try the Rock Fo Floor - I kind of like it. Not as much as the barnboard, though.

This edge effect isn't great, but it's my first one - this is one of the things I learned to do today with PS.
